SUNSET IN BATANES

Nothing beats the serenity and grandeur of a sunset, especially when viewed from a rolling hill overlooking the calm ocean. It is being at peace with oneself, with the world, and with God.

It just occurred to me that a lot of people are so enamored with sunset, yet to me it signifies something that is not so joyous. Yes, its site is beautiful, if you talk about the hues and the amber light that comes with it, but when I look at it I see something beyond the hues and color. It tells me that the day is ending, saying goodbye to all the things you have done for the day, suggesting that darkness will again rule the world. It is as if someone is telling you farewell with all the good memories that goes with it. And as I gaze on its radiant rays, I just can't stop wishing for it to glow early the next morning. Just like saying goodbye to the one you love after bringing her home and she answers you with a loving smile, you just can't stop but wish to see her early the following morning.

For me, I love capturing the early morning sunrise, the breaking of dawn. To me it's my symbol of strength, hope and determination. It gives me a feeling of freshness, an adrenaline drive, a push for something greater, nobler and worthier. I feel like the world is greeting me with a smile, telling me that you're blessed because you have witnessed my rising. Then I start to feel that God is with me, communing with me, in my aspirations, plans and struggles. That is sunrise and that is what I love to witness more.

I will give you a beautiful picture of sunrise, and I am sure you will somehow agree with me.

Your ever dearest.
